We design new solutions that change how solar can be integrated into a profitable and comfortable building. The owners of 918 Ulster Avenue, Kingston, New York, needed a new roof to protect long-term tenants. Our solution is the most advanced bi-facial solar array on a commercial building, anywhere! The new white roof reflects light onto the back of 532 Prism Solar panels making 154,000 Watts DC driving 166,600 Watts AC of inverters to over 100% capacity many days of the year — yup, reflected light regularly adds output in this first-ever 30-deg tilt, 24" above roof at low edge mounting (OpSun racking). Over 25% bifacial gain seen often.
Inside Track Solar as Owner's Rep first figured out the tax strategy and financial model with the owners who gave us free rein to design the highest performing bi-facial commercial project we know of. We oversaw installation of new white reflective TPO roof and insulation including mechanical attachment for the solar design. We then managed the EPC selection, supervised construction, and directly rebuilt the AC building service including new transformers and metering. We got the project qualified as the 3rd ever and first downstate New York Community Solar project (2016), then set up and managed the subscriber process and tariff filings.
Our sophisticated development delivers value to owners. |
